The cord used to make this pot has been carefully hand dyed with madder root. As proof of its organic nature, the colour may change slightly with time.

This pastel pink hue has been extracted from the madder root and fixed onto the fibres with a non-toxic fixative). The ombre effect was created by leaving the cotton cord to absorb the dye for a longer period of time on the darker sections and gradually reducing the time to create this gradual colour change.
