Plant Care
Botanical name - senecio herreianus
Origin - tropical rainforests of South America
I'm very similar to my close family member 'string of pearls' it just that my pearls are a little more oval shaped.
Bright indirect Light
I like to be in a bright sunny spot but no harsh midday rays otherwise I can burn. Please try and keep me consistently warm so avoid places with cold drafts or near radiators in winter.
Infrequent watering
Keep me on the dry side as I'm very prone to root rot. Allow my soil to completely dry out between waterings. Picking me up can be a good indication of how much moisture is left in my soil. In winter reduce my watering down to an absolute minimum.
Care Tips
You can prune me easily by cutting off my spindly tendrils just like you would your own hair. These if long enough can be planted directly in soil, best time to do this is spring, and I will root creating a mini clone of myself.
