Bright Indirect Light
I like to be in a bright spot away from the sun's direct harsh rays. Try popping me a few feet back from a east or west facing window. However in winter I will benefit from an hour or two of direct morning or afternoon sun to keep me happy and healthy.
Regular Watering
Allow the top couple of inches of my soil to dry out between waterings - why not poke your finger in to check. Water me until you see it coming out of the bottom of my pot but don't leave me sitting in a puddle.
Remember to wipe down my leaves with a damp clean cloth to prevent dust build up to help me breathe.
High Humidity
Think Southeast Asian rainforest! Keep my leaves moist and I'll be happy. Pop me in a bright bathroom or kitchen and spritz me regularly (around twice a week). Grouping plants together so I can be near my friends will also increase humidity. Why not give me a shower once in a while to wash the leaves and give me a good drink.
Fun facts
I can grow up to 3 meters high with a spread up to 1 meter across. However don't worry it will take me 5-10 years to reach that size - but what a beauty I'll be hey!
Care Tips
I love aerated soil so why not gently poke a few holes in the soil with a pencil to get the air circulating.
Try not to let me get too cold especially in winter. I like to be maintained at a warm temperature throughout the year. If it does get a little cold in winter I may loose some leaves. But thats ok don't worry its my way of conserving energy I will grow new ones come springtime.
