Plant Care
Botanical name - begonia maculata
Origin - Tropical rainforest of South America
Bright indirect Light
I would be happy in a bright spot away from harsh midday sun which can cause my leaves to scorch. But be careful not to put me in too dark a spot as it will promote mould growth and rot.
Regular Watering
Be sure to leave the top two inches of my soil to dry out between waterings. Just poke your finger in to check the moisture levels - if you feel moisture don't water, if it feels dry it's time for a drink! Water thoroughly until you see it come out the bottom of the pot. But don't leave me sitting in a puddle as this can cause root rot. Thanks!
Care Tips
Be careful not to overwater me in winter time when I slow down. Keep checking the soil moisture level as the watering frequency will change throughout the year and the environment I'm in. Once I've found a spot I like try not to move me about to much as I like to feel settled.
